Samsung mobile phone segment is adding more and more series to what already a long list. After the Omnias, Beats and the very recent Corby range come the Sharks. In this new series Samsung has launched a total of three handsets, the S5350, S5550 and S3550. Like the Corbys these handsets will also feature social networking apps.
The first of the set, the Shark S5350 is a sleek looking candy bar handset which features a 3.2 megapixel camera, Multi-instant messenger for simultaneous access to GTalk, AIM, and Palringo Chat.
The other main features of this mobile are 3G HSDPA(900/2100) 3.6Mbps,Quad band GSM, Dual band UMTS,3.2 MP digital camera with video recording ,100MB internal memory, microSD support up to 16GB, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP,GPRS,EDGE,900mAh battery that provides a of 3 hours talk time on a 3G network and approx 10 hours in 2G network, FM radio ,document viewer ,free loaded Google maps and video editor. The camera comes with autofocus and smile detection.
The second in the series is the S5550 Shark 2 that will be equipped with an AMOLED display, a 5-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities of 30 fps (QVGA resolution), microSD card support (up to 8GB), Bluetooth and the same Multi-instant messenger app as the S5350.
Other specs include 110MB of internal memory, MicroSD card support up to 8GB, Bluetooth, multi-instant messenger, and USB connectivity. Both these two mobile handsets have HSDPA 3.6 (900/2100) and quadband GSM/EDGE.
The Shark 3 or S3550 is also fashioned in a slider form and comes with features that include access to popular social networking options, a 2-megapixel camera, MicroSD memory card slot (up to 8GB) and Bluetooth.
The Samsung Shark S3550, another slider, comes with a QVGA screen and a patterned mettalic back cover. It has an innovative user interface, GSM/EDGE connectivity, 2-megapixel camera, 40MB of internal memory and MicroSD card slot. All the three phones have Bluetooth 2.1 and USB 2.0 support.
