Fujifilm Introduces Fujinon XF X-Pro1 Lenses
6/27/2012 11:02:25 AM

Fujifilm Corporation, the worlds leading photographic and imaging company, today announced its aggressive expansion plan in the newly carved interchangeable mirror-less camera category with the exclusive line of Fujifilm XF lenses.

The lenses are being introduced after overwhelming response to Fujifilm recently launched X-Pro1 digital cameras, and consumer?s demand for more options in lenses for specialized photography.

The company has globally introduced two lenses, a bright F2.8 super wide 14mm (21mm in 35mm equivalent) single focal length lens and a bright F2.8-4 zoom lens that covers the shooting range of 18mm to 55mm (27-83mm in 35mm equivalent), in addition to the three single focal length lenses in the first series of FUJINON XF Lenses. In India, the lenses will be made available by Fujifilm India Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned subsidiary of Fujifilm Holdings Corporation, Japan.

Speaking on the new development, Mr. K Tanaka, Managing Director, Fujifilm India said, Since the launch of X-Pro1 in January 2012, we had been receiving huge number of request concerning interchangeable lenses from the users. With the support of our R&D team we are on the verge of introducing new line in the category of interchangeable lenses. In the coming future you can expect development of more lenses that cover a wide range of focal lengths and offer bright and high resolution reproduction even at the periphery.

Designed especially for X-Pro1, the Fujifilm XF Lens series promises enhanced resolution and light volume in image edge areas as well as reduced chromatic aberration for exceptional image quality. From super wide to telephoto, users will be able to freely choose lenses that match their shooting style or purpose, letting them enjoy high-quality photography with Fujifilm X-Pro1 in various scenes.

Featuring an all-glass aspherical lens and other elements, the lens is polished to perfection and treated with Super EBC coating. Holding the high-quality metal barrel and operating the precision-machined 1/3-step aperture ring is a sensation that fires the desire to capture every scene.

According to Rohit Pandit, Executive Vice President, Fujifilm India, The new line of interchangeable lenses will enable users to enjoy the high resolution feature of Fujifilm X-Pro1. It is meant for those photographers, who seek the peak of photographic excellence.
